Martin Golland received his MFA from the University of Guelph (2006) and his BFA from Concordia University (1998). Golland was born in Montpellier, France, and has lived in Turkey, Puerto Rico and Miami, and Toronto, before moving to Ottawa. Golland has exhibited nationally and internationally, including: Shapeshift at Birch Libralato in Toronto (2008), DARK TOWN at the Felix Ringel Galerie in Dusseldorf (2007), and What is said and what is meant at the MacDonald Stewart Art Center in Guelph (2006). He is the recipient of the prestigious Honorable Mention Prize at the 11th Annual RBC Painting Competition. He is represented by Birch Libralato in Toronto and Felix Ringel Galerie in Dusseldorf. He is Assistant Professor in Painting at the University of Ottawa.
