Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Mark Lewis now lives and works in London, England. He was Canada’s representative at the 2009 Venice Biennale. Lewis’s films can be found in the permanent collections of the Centre Pompidou (Paris), MuHKA (Antwerp), the Museum of Modern Art (New York) and the National Gallery of Canada (Ottawa). His films have been exhibited at the Provinicia di Nuoro (Italy), PS1 Contemporary Art Centre (New York) and the Vancouver Art Gallery. Lewis is the co-editor and co-founder of the international art journal 'Afterall' (London, Los Angeles), and professor in fine art at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London.
