Karen Kraven is a drawing and installation-based artist. She is currently completing her MFA at Concordia University in Montreal where she is the recipient of the Dale and Nick Tedeschi Fellowship. Most recently, she participated in Reverse Pedagogy II in Venice. She also attended residencies at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and The Banff Centre. Her work has been shown in Toronto and she often creates work outside of traditional gallery spaces. Recently, she received a Toronto Arts Council Grant to make things that look like kites.
