Jeremy R. Jansen (b. 1979) was born in Calgary, schooled in Vancouver and now lives and works as a photographer in Toronto, Canada. He is known primarily for his documentary black and white photographs of bands, landscapes and urban situations. Recurring motifs of pattern, grain, diffusion, gloaming and chiaroscuro pervade much of his imagery. Jansen has recently showed at Clint Roenisch Gallery and published in Hunter & Cook No.5.
