Dil Hildebrand was born in Winnipeg, Canada, in 1974. He received his MFA from Concordia University, Montréal in 2008, and is represented by Pierre-François Ouellette art contemporain. In 2006 Dil Hildebrand won the RBC Canadian Painting Competition, and has since exhibited widely throughout Canada and the United States. A monograph entitled Faktura: The Paintings of Dil Hildebrand was released in February 2010. In October 2010 Dil will mount a solo exhibition of new paintings at YYZ Artists' Outlet in Toronto. He lives and works in Montréal.
