In The Burden of Objects' Dust, the dust itself (seen in both the photo and the drawing, and contained in the ziplock bag) is part of the piece.  A photo and written instructions will be emailed to the buyer to illustrate the original installation.  

Kerri Reid is a visual artist living and working in Toronto, where she teaches at the Toronto School of Art and the University of Guelph. Originally from Vancouver, she studied at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design and the University of Guelph, has exhibited her work both nationally and internationally, and will be participating in residencies in Iceland in March and Dawson City in May/June.

Kevin Rodgers is an artist and writer based in London, ON. His writings have appeared in numerous magazines, including Border Crossings, C Magazine and Hunter & Cook. Kevin Romaniuk's style of influenced documentary photographs depict suburban upbringings, and young masculinity. His photographs have been published extensively and exhibited worldwide. He continues to work on creative projects based from his Vancouver studio.

Jon Sasaki

Working in the vein of “romantic conceptualism,” Jon Sasaki utilizes primarily performance-for-video, objects, installations and interventions in work that mixes humor and pathos, often with gently antagonistic results. Jon’s work has been presented in solo exhibitions at The Doris McCarthy Gallery, (University of Toronto at Scarborough), Jessica Bradley Art+Projects (Toronto), Centre Clark (Montreal), and Latitude 53 (Edmonton). He has participated in recent group exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery, The Lab, (San Francisco) VOX (Montreal), the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery (University of Toronto), the Owens Art Gallery (Mount Allison University, Sackville, NB) as well as the 2006 and 2008 editions of Toronto’s Nuit Blanche. Upcoming solo exhibitions will be presented at Access (Vancouver) the Kitchener Waterloo Art Gallery and 126 (Galway, Ireland). Jon was an active member of the Instant Coffee art collective between 2002 and 2007. He lives and works in Toronto.

Jennifer Rose Sciarrino is an artist presently living and working in Toronto. She holds a BFA from Ryerson's Image Arts Program. Current works in sculpture, installation and photography explore ideas in material simulation of the uncanny natural. Her work has been shown in both public and private galleries in Canada.

Beth Stuart has had recent solo exhibitions at Board of Directors Gallery in Toronto and at the MacDonald Stewart Arts Centre in Guelph. Recent group presentations include Georgia Scherman Projects in Toronto, and Galerie Simon Blais in Montreal in an exhibition curated by Robert Enright. In Summer 2009 she attended the residency Why are Conceptual Artists Painting Again? Because They Think it’s a Good Idea, led by renowned international art critic Jan Verwoert at the Banff Centre for the Arts. Beth Stuart completed her MFA at the University of Geulph in 2009.

Ron Tran is a Vancouver-based artist whose practice explores the ways that chance and coincidence influence daily life. Tran studied at Emily Carr Institute of Art + Design, and has participated in group and solo exhibitions in Canada including Saidye Bronfman Centre, Helen Pitt Gallery, Artspeak Gallery, and Access Artist Run Centre. Tran has also exhibited in Liu-Haisu Museum (Shanghai, China). Tran was selected to be in the EAST International biennial exhibition (Norwich, England), and recently completed a two-month residency at Neon Gallery (Sweden). Tran is in the forthcoming Berlin Biennale 6 and has a solo show at the Charles H. Scott Gallery in 2011.

Eve K. Tremblay

Eve K. Tremblay born 1972, Val-David , Qc, CAN. Studied French literature at the University of Montreal, acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the theater in NY, and completed a BFA in Photography at Concordia University in Montreal in 2000. In 2003, she became very nomadic and found her sense of memory quite challenged. In 2006, she got a studio next to the Film Gallery 451, in Berlin. In 2007, she started working on Becoming Fahrenheit 451. It was a project which used different mediums and related her attempts to memorize Fahrenheit 451 as the Book People do in Ray Bradbury’s 1953 novel, and in François Truffaut’s 1966’s adaptation. www.evektremblay.com

Kara Uzelman

Kara Uzelman is a mixed-media artist with an educational background based in Urban Planning and Fine Arts. Since graduating from Emily Carr University in 2004, Uzelman’s process-based sculptures and installations have been shown internationally in both group and solo exhibitions. She has attended residencies at The Klondike Institute of Art (Dawson City, Canada), Triangle (Marseille, France) and completed a mentorship in Archaeology (Simon Fraser University, Vancouver). Most recently she has exhibited at The Power Plant (Toronto, Canada), Contemporary Art Gallery (Vancouver), Sommer & Kohl (Berlin, Germany) and Liste Art Fair (Basel, Switzerland). In addition to her solo practice, she has collaborated on numerous projects, most notably with the Vancouver based collective Norma.

Charmaine Wheatley

A graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Canadian born performance artist Charmaine Wheatley has lived and worked in New York City since 1997. A series of public gestures/interventions in Halifax, Nova Scotia (1997); Amsterdam (2000); and Winnipeg, Manitoba (2001) earned Wheatley the title “Performance Provocateuse.” From 2002 through 2005, Charmaine collaborated with sound artist, Taketo Shimada, performing in New York City at Whitebox Gallery, SubTONIC, Emily Harvey Gallery, The Knitting Factory, and New York University. Wheatley’s paintings, drawings, sculptures and bookworks have also been exhibited widely. Her bookwork “Beau Fleuve: The Heart of North America,” based on a 4 month residency in Buffalo NY (2006), is currently available through Printed Matter, NYC, and Art Metropole, Toronto. A recent bookwork, titled “30% of Buffalo,” was published and distributed through Brooklyn Artists Alliance last year, which was followed by a solo show in September 2009 at the Buffalo Arts Studio. Her boxes of drawings are available at Pierogi Brooklyn, in New York.
